Sun-Kwang has broadened business area to sand, pebbles, and quarts sand for ready-mixed concrete to make itself Korea's greatest aggregate supplier. Since we embarked on our marine sands business in 1984 we have at all times ensured that our processing and washing of marine sands has been in compliance with environmental standards. We have also been leaders in the area of sea sand salinity control. For over 10 years we have continuously researched and developed techniques and equipment to reduce the salinity level or our sea sands to a minimum.

As a consequence of this research we have developed state-of-the-art automatic washing equipment which allows us to reduce the salinity level to below a quarter of a standard point. We are therefore in a position to offer high quality sands for building purposes. It is our goal to be in a position to supply marine sand that is of a higher quality than comparable river sand.
